Chamotte by Mutina is a ceramic tile collection designed by Patricia Urquiola, inspired by the raw, tactile quality of crushed chamotte (refractory clay). The tiles are available in three formats—Mono (smooth), Linea (with continuous raised lines), and Quadra (with a broken relief pattern)—and are crafted using a traditional double-firing and extrusion process that enhances their artisanal feel.
The collection features six vibrant, glossy colours, each with subtle irregularities and brushstroke-like textures that create depth and visual movement. Chamotte is ideal for expressive interior spaces, bringing a bold yet refined character to feature walls and architectural surfaces.
